East Durham Partnership was established in 1989 as a local community project run by volunteers in an attempt to offer a range of training and support activities for disadvantaged residents of East Durham affected by the closure of the coal mines.
This small project has grown over the twenty one years we have been in existence from a small volunteer organisation to the establishment of a registered charity and company limited by guarantee employing almost forty local people.
The services we provide are aimed at supporting people to obtain qualifications and work experience which will increase their employability. We operate from our factory premises at Seaview, Horden to deliver training and provide a low cost household furniture and white goods service for local residents. This diverts waste from landfill whilst contributing to the local economy through job creation within the Social Enterprise.
We would invite you to come visit our premises in order to find out about the services we provide. A warm welcome is extended to all and for clients on a range of benefits some discounts may be available...
